Abu Bakar Bashir has been jailed for for all manner of terror charges following the Bali bombings in 2002.
There is clearly something going on in Indonesia which their Govt led by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the West don't seem to understand.
When Bashir rejects the "infidel" law that found him guilty what Muslim does not agree with him that the largest Muslim country in the world should be governed according to Muslim law. Indonesian youth are sadly being drawn into the web of those who appear to favour violent revolution over evolution because of the increasing and understandable disenchantment with the corrupt nature of Indonesian Politics.
With Indonesian MP's caught watching Porn and other sex scandals unrest is growing leading to Generals plotting to overthrow the Government. Minorities are increasingly being treated poorly and sadly because of a failure to get to grips with the underlying causes of frustration and anger at politicians not reflecting the wishes of the People, LM fears there may sadly be further trouble in store for what previously was considered to be a template for a modern Muslim democracy.
